Towards a Simple Textual Trace Based Personal Exo-Memory
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper presents an experimentation with a continuously updated textual exo-memory used to assist the natural memory of a subject. It shows how trace theory could be used to improve the device. Main characteristics of such a memory aid are maintenance by the subject, limited size, plasticity, and persistence of the recall quality in the long term.

TEXTUAL AND INTER-TEXTUAL ANALYSES OF IRANIAN EFL UNDERGRADUATES’ TYPES OF ENGLISH READING TOWARDS DEVELOPING A CAREFUL READING FRAMEWORK
This study investigated textual and inter-textual reading of a group of Iranian EFL undergraduates’ careful English reading types. In this research, Khalifa and Weir’s (2009) reading framework was used to propose a more inclusive aspect of a careful reading framework and the reading construct for instructional and assessment goals. The participants of this study were B.A. students of English Tr...

In the present study, a simple electrochemical sensor for trace determination of Hg(II) ions in aqueous solutions was introduced. The proposed sensor was designed by incorporation of the 4-methyl-piperidine-carbodithioate capped gold nanoparticles (GNPs) into the carbon paste electrode (CPE), which provides a remarkably improved sensitivity for stripping voltammetric determination of Hg(II). Di...

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of textual enhancement types on English as Foreign Language ( EFL ) learn er s ’ grammatical awareness of simple and complex structures. A nu m- ber of 104 learners from Ayandegan Institute, in Tehran, participated in this study. To homogenize the samples, the researchers administered a placement Michigan Test of English language to the p...
متن کاملTowards Seamless Hybrid Graphical-Textual Modelling for UML and Profiles
Domain-specific modelling languages, in particular those described in terms of UML profiles, use graphical notations to maximise human understanding and facilitate communication among stakeholders. Nevertheless, textual notations are preferred for specific purposes, due to the nature of a specific domain, or for personal preference. The mutually exclusive use of graphical or textual modelling i...
متن کاملAttendance to Massive Open On-line Courses: Towards a Solution to Track on-line Recorded Lectures Viewing
Massive open on-line courses (MOOC) such as those by edX.org are digital courses where thousands students are dispersed across the Internet. This new variant for distance learning opens many new challenges including the need to verify the real vision of recorded lectures same as we control the physical presence of scholars in a traditional classroom. We review here a precursor study on the effe...
